Hmm...a little bit about me...
I am wife to my high school sweetheart, mother to three wonderful (grown) kids, grandmother to three of the cutest grandkids ever...and a daughter, sister, aunt and in-law to the best family around!
I live on the Gulf coast of Florida, too hot and humid in the summers for me, but I can't imagine not living by the water and not being able to watch the beautiful sunsets at the beach.
I have loved to sew since I was a child, thankful my mother taught me the art.
I started making weighted lap pads and blankets for the pediatric clinic where my daughter is a speech therapist, hoping to better the life of children with special needs.
This is how Two Steps Forward started!

The covers of the lap pads and blankets can be machine washed and dried. Wash in warm/cold water on a delicate cycle and dry on a low setting. Spot cleaning/air drying is preferred for the liners, but if necessary they can be machine washed/dried as well (also on a delicate setting).
I make the weighted lap pads and blankets out of 100% cotton and/or cotton flannel. They are filled with a specific amount of polyester pellets depending on the preferred weight. Both the lap pads and blankets have a separate lining (which contain the pellets) and removable cover. The cover seals shut with velcro.
